I kept asking the same thing over and over again...

"What's worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should've healed years ago, but never did?"

Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That is what we like to think but that is not the way it is, is it? Some things we just have to learn over and over and over again. What we fear most has already happened to us.

Still, Allah doesn't give you the people you want. Instead, He gives you the people you need. To teach you, to hurt you, to love you and to make you exactly the way you're meant to be.


That was the thing. You just never knew, right?
